baby pics

Jason, Judy, cousin Becky, and I ventured to San Jose yesterday to experience the thrills of a 3/4d ultrasound. It really was an amazing experience, and not only because of the pictures.
We learned that baby has a full head of hair, and huuuuge feet.

He likes to use the placenta as a pillow, and constantly has his knees up in his face.

Several times, he grabbed his toes and umbilical cord with his hand.

He seemed to favor moving his left arm, but that might just be due to the fact that his left side more visible than his right.

and, he definitely is still a boy :)

10 weeks

The past week and a half have been much better. I made it home from Italy (minus one suitcase) and enjoyed several very relaxing days with the folks at home. Mom came with to my first OB appointment to see the ultrasound, and we saw the heartbeat, 2 arms, a brain (inside it's skull), and it wiggled :)

It snowed y'all! At our house in Waco! On Easter!
I wish we could have seen it. Living in CA is great and all, but there's little change in seasons.

Today is rainy. It is a nice change, but I'm sure the fence guy will have to delay fixing the fence until it is nicer. Our fence blew over during a strong gust of wind about a month ago. Get this - the insurance adjuster actually told jason that if it happens again, jason should go out and "lean on it" Hah! maybe if we owned instead of rented, insurance fraud would sound more apetizing. As we aren't responsible for the deductable however, I don't really care.

Sanjaya should sing in spanish every week from now on.

I've read a few more books last month, but reading isn't the most pleasant thing to do when nauseous, so it's been slow going.
I finished Mercy by Jodi Piccoult in Italy, and started re-reading Crimson Petal and the White by Michael Farber.
Also, i'm trying to get thru Roanoke which is about the mystery behind the colony that settled in Roanoke, VA in the 1700's then promptly vanished in less than 3 years. It is very well written, but very textbook-ish.

Jason started a new quarter a few weeks ago, and is golfing frequently. I'm hoping to start again maybe next week. I've been so tired, that the idea of walking that far sounds dreadful. I need to persuade Jason to rent a cart.

His score is improving though, and I'm so proud!

Back to the grind - I'll see if I can scan in the ultrasound pic and post later today!
