time keeps on ticking...

So, as we poured through the cookbooks and the online recipe websites, I got a great idea on how we can spend this and hopefully most of our future valentines days. This year we are going french. We're making duck confit, fava bean ragout, and for desert, white chocolate creme brulee. (Pardon the lack of accent marks and proper punctuation)
Next year, I'm thinking Ethiopian...So, the idea is to research different countries and attempt to make fairly authentic (albeit americanized) fare, and perhaps learn a little about the countries in the process.

yes, we are geeks.

So, the job thing. I actually had an interview today. I think it went well. I always feel great right after an interview, then I start eating away at my faults and what I maybe did wrong, or what I should have said instead.

I did manage to stay away from the dreaded 4 letter word through the entire hour however. (navy)

Hopefully, I'll hear something tomorrow morning regarding the second step in the process.

Jason finally figured out our "beyond tv" problem, so I was able to watch both Gilmore Girls and American Idol last night.
I just love the relationship between Lorelai and her mom. Honestly, that show has to have some of the best dialog in any tv today.
American idol was just eh. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it. I didn't like the whiny chick who got accepted and then talked herself out of it. If you can't handle the results, you shouldn't have entered.

I've finally gotten around to making a list of all my current projects. Now remember, this is all projects that are not yet finished, not just "active" projects, so it may seem longer than reality.

1. 4000 piece puzzle (about half done)
2. project linus baby quilt
3. quilt square of the month quilt
4. project linus preparation for MABD
5. crocheted tablecloth
6. crocheted blanket (white)
7. crocheted blanket (peacocks)
8. crocheted doily (ran out of color and can't find more)
9. crocheted doily (yellow)
10. learn vb.net (I'm on day 6 out of 21)
11. job searching
12. working
13. website for Jessie Delights Cafe
14. website for local Project linus chapter
15. Finish unpacking
16. Set up office
17. paint chest of drawers.
18. fix and re-felt lamps.

Actually, it doesn't really seem to horrible. It's nice to lay them all out in front of me and prioritize.

I know there haven't been any pics in forever. I apologize for that.
See number 16 above. I actually think the camera cable is still packed somewhere. When I find it, I'll post some pretty mountain pics.
